Lifetime lawyer:

The ideal candidate should have proven experience in advising clients on lifetime issues such as wills, powers of attorney, inheritance tax, family asset succession, and protection. Desirable experience includes dealing with business structures, court of protection matters, knowledge of trusts and trust administration, wider tax knowledge, probate administration experience, and being STEP & CTA qualified or part-qualified.

You must be able to:

  • Manage your own caseload.
  • Manage your own financial housekeeping.
  • Conduct meetings with clients face to face and remotely.
  • Assess legal issues and provide appropriate advice.
  • Conduct legal research and advise on costs and scope of work.
  • Draft documents and letters of advice.
  • Keep up to date with law and practice.
  • Have excellent communication and team skills.
