Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Responsible to: Managing Director

Location: Quality Assurance Department

Purpose of Job: To ensure that our customers quality requirements are fulfilled or exceeded and to ensure the efficient operation of the quality, inspection and heat treatment departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

1) To be responsible for the Company’s Quality Management System. This will include:

  • The maintenance and development of the Quality Management System and associated documents.
  • Ensuring that the company’s Quality Policy is relevant to overall business objectives and that it is implemented throughout the company.
  • All aspects of quality control and quality assurance.
  • Ensuring that all personnel are aware of their responsibility to work in accordance with the company’s Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP’s)
  • Ensuring that Management Review is carried out in accordance withQAP-12

2) To be responsible for the quality, inspection and heat treatment departments and associated staff.

3) To communicate and liaise with customers on matters relating to quality. This will include:

  • Responsibility for monitoring customer satisfaction and the effective handling of customer complaints in accordance with QAP-01 andQAP-12.

4) To prepare PPAP documentation as and when required.

5) To control and administer the concession and Production Permit procedure in accordance with QAP-09.

6) To ensure that quality, inspection and heat treatment personnel receive appropriate training in accordance with QAP-13.

7) To monitor product nonconformity in accordance with QAP-10 and initiate corrective action as and when necessary.

8) To maintain the Data Manger database with the latest quality data and CAR actions.

9) To monitor and action when required to ensure that batch card instructions are adhered against.

10) Conduct regular audits and root cause analyses, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary to drive continuous improvement

11) Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure materials meet quality requirements.

12) Lead quality initiatives and provide technical guidance to operational teams to promote adherence to quality processes.
