Reed Accountancy are delighted to be partnering with a prestigious legal firm in Bury St Edmunds to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is a full time, permanent position offering hybrid working after training. They have a friendly and approachable atmosphere and are looking for like-minded individuals to join the team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Client and Office Account cashiering duties with accuracy and timeliness
  • Handle Nominal and Purchase ledger tasks
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Process BACS and CHAPS payments
  • Review and distribute completion statements
  • Conduct credit control activities
  • Report to the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration

Requirements:

  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Team player who can manage their workload and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and show commitment to colleagues and the firm
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A driving license is preferred as the head office is not accessible by public transport
