Field Service Engineer

You're an experienced, multi-skilled, Field Service or Maintenance Engineer. We design, manufacture, install and maintain bespoke machinery and equipment throughout the UK and Ireland, so you'll be happy to travel and stay away from home, safe in the knowledge that you'll be well paid for your time. Let's talk about joining our service team.   BASIC SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000   BENEFITS:· Realistic overtime of £8,000 - £12,000 available· 24 days holiday plus Bank holidays· Company van· Company pension  LOCATION: Essex   COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester, Chelmsford, Braintree, Ipswich, Bury Saint Edmund, Sudbury, Harwich, Frinton-on-Sea   JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Service Engineer - Capital Equipment / Packaging   This is a classic Field Service role for a multi skilled engineer. You'll visit our client sites throughout the UK and Ireland. these range from single person sites to multi site operations. You'll cover jobs from routine servicing and breakdowns through to installations and commissioning, so over night stays as well as staying away for extended periods should be expected.   As the face of our company, you'll need to be comfortable speaking to people at all levels and have customer service at the forefront of everything you do.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Field Service Engineer / Capital Equipment / Packaging   As our Field Service Engineer, your key tasks will be: · Carry out PPM's, fault find, repairs, breakdowns, installations and commissioning. · Remote access diagnostics and support. · Operator training and support. · Complete service records and job reports including time on site and parts/spares log.   PERSON SPECIFICATION: Field Service Engineer / Capital Equipment / Packaging   We're open to your background, but its likely that you will have an engineering based qualification such as a HNC/HND, and have: · Knowledge of packaging machinery or similar. Experience with labelling machinery is or particular interest. · Electrical knowledge including fault finding, schematics, wiring and basic PLC programing skills. · Mechanical knowledge including conveyors, gearing, bearings etc. · Fabrication skills including cutting, grinding and assembly. Welding would be an advantage. · Problem solving skills with the desire to find effective solutions.   Due to the travel requirements, a valid full UK driving license is essential.  THE COMPANY:  For 30 years, we have been designing, manufacturing and supplying top-quality, bespoke labelling and sleeving systems.
