Benefits: Pension, health care, death in service & 20 days annual leave The role of the Logistics Manager - Construction Products will involve:

  • Logistics Manager position overseeing all logistics and warehouse operations for the supply of a range of construction products and accessories
  • Effectively manage and oversee the transport, warehouse and yard operations
  • Plan all delivery routes across all depots to best utilise the fleet and drivers (45 vehicles)
  • Manage, develop and conduct performance reviews for all staff within your team
  • Ensure drivers are returning and correct PODs/EPOD’s on time, signed, dated, and printed, collection notes returned to Transport and then passed to Accounts
  • Manage and oversee maintenance requirements to ensure van, forklifts and trucks are compliant with all the relevant schemes and delivery regulations i.e., FORS/CLOKS
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party couriers and 3PL partners
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise transportation processes and reduce costs

The ideal applicant will be a Logistics Manager - Construction Products with:

  • Must have Logistics / Transport Management experience, ideally within the construction industry
  • Ideally will have Transport Manager CPC qualification
  • Load planning experience
  • Experience supervising health & safety on site (IOSH qualified)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Organised, dynamic and self-motivated
