I am recruiting for a Warehouse Manager for my client based in Suffolk.  This is a full time, permanent role and requires full time on site working.  Key Job Responsibilities:
  • To analyse customer orders, scheduling and prioritising them to ensure to they are dealt with in a sequence that enables the company to match the delivery of its KPI’s.
  • Ensure picked orders are presented in a format that aligns with customer specification, e.g.  correct pallet type, agreed pallet height, wrapped and labelled.
  • Create and manage documentation for the picking process, ensuring all order-picking activities are reconciled to guarantee customer invoices accurately reflect dispatched stock.
  • Oversee and liaise with nominated carriers, informing them of the scheduled dispatch volumes and ensuring collection vehicles arrive on time.
  • Oversee the generation of dispatch manifests to ensure they accurately reflect planned loading sequences and are achievable within the allocated time frames.
  • Manage the assembly and verification of all orders scheduled on any manifest before the carrier's arrival and conduct a second check during the loading of the carrier's vehicle(s).
  • Ensure that all drivers collecting goods from the warehouse sign a copy of the loading manifest, agreeing the number of lifts that they have collected.
  • Monitor the Goods In control sheet and communicate with Stock Control.
  • Oversee the designation of loads for outside storage, consider stock availability and sales trends to guide your decision-making.
  • Oversee the arrival of vehicles and containers.
  • Oversee the allocation of stock to orders using the FIFO principle, with exceptions for full pallet quantities. Ensure all stock is located in appropriate pallet positions and recorded in the WMS.
  •  Liaise with the stock control team to manage RY code changes (N codes).
  • Ensure all staff are trained, equipped, and capable of performing their assigned tasks.
  • Maintain strict warehouse safety protocols to ensure a work environment that promotes the well-being of all staff.
  • Manage holiday allocations to ensure business operations are not disrupted by staff unavailability.
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff during their probationary period.
  • Regularly carry out checks on the racking to ensure that it is fit for purpose, in the event of racking being damaged, schedule repairs at the earliest opportunity
  • Ensure adherence to company health and safety (H&S) policies, utilising best practices and maintaining compliance.
As well as the above, there will be deputising duties for the logistics manager in their absence.  Requirements for the role:  
  • Minimum qualification of IoSCM Level 4 or above
  • Experience in scheduling and managing warehouse workloads.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to Identify inefficiencies in warehouse processes and implementing solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ability to effectively integrate with and take initiative in using warehouse systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, such as increases in order volume or unexpected supply chain disruptions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
