About the Role

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing transport operations, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring seamless communication between internal teams, external suppliers, and customers. The role requires high attention to detail and strong administrative skills to maintain accurate records and process orders efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage orders for vehicle movements.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external warehouses to coordinate order picking and deliveries.
  • Schedule and liaise with external hauliers and internal drivers to ensure timely transport.
  • Raise warehouse picking orders using internal software systems.
  • Confirm and upload Proof of Delivery (POD) records to the system.
  • Input data with high accuracy in both internal software and Excel spreadsheets.

Dealing with Transport Suppliers (Hauliers):

  • Confirm delivery schedules and required vehicle types/services.
  • Book and manage all delivery requirements with transport suppliers.
  • Assist in resolving any delivery or collection issues.
  • Monitor deliveries to ensure they are completed on time and accurately.

Customer Service:

  • Provide proactive communication with customers regarding deliveries.
  • Confirm deliveries via phone and email.
  • Liaise with delivery points to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Inform customers of any delays or issues with deliveries.
  • Work closely with customers to coordinate future orders.
  • Maintain effective communication between customers and internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe.
  • Experience working in a logistics or transport environment.
  • Knowledge of Destin8 & CNS (preferred).
  • Understanding of ERTS (Enhanced Remote Transit Shed) operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
