Experienced Payroll Senior sought to join a dedicated team based in modern offices in the scenic countryside. This is a flexible opportunity where you can work full-time or part-time and have the option of hybrid working.

About the Role

In this position, you'll manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, including manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, professional services, and retail. With more than 300 payrolls ranging from small businesses to larger teams, this role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to further refine your skills.Responsibilities:

  • Full-cycle payroll processing for a variety of clients.
  • Handling BACs payment processing.
  • Maintaining direct client communication and resolving payroll queries.
  • Managing deadlines effectively while ensuring compliance with all statutory payroll and employment regulations.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong payroll experience (minimum 2 years), with comprehensive knowledge of auto-enrolment pensions, statutory payments, holiday pay legislation, minimum wage requirements, HMRC and RTI processes, and directors' payments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident in communication across all mediums (phone, email, letter).
  • Proficient in IT, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Self-motivated with a positive and adaptable problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Background in UK professional services or practice environments.
  • Recognised qualifications (e.g., CIPP certificates, Foundation degree in payroll management).
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Star/IRIS Payroll Professional, Sage payroll, HMRC Basic Tools).
