A leading manufacturer in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, is seeking an experienced Machinist to join their team. This hands-on role involves producing high-precision components using CNC Mills, Lathes, and manual machines. You'll play a key role in ensuring quality and accuracy in all machined parts.

What's the pay & hours?

  • 34,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Monday to Thursday, 06:00 - 16:00 (four-day workweek)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-tolerance components using CNC and manual machines
  • Set up machinery with established tooling and programs
  • Conduct first-off inspections to ensure quality standards
  • Maintain health, safety, and quality in all work processes
  • Champion 5S and TPM principles for continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Work independently and meet production deadlines

Who are we looking for?

  • 5+ years' experience in machining
  • Skilled in CNC Mills, Lathes, and manual machinery
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Machining qualification or time-served apprentice
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency
