Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £45k - £55k per annum + package

Working Hours: 08.00am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Our client, a prominent civil engineering, groundworks, and infrastructure specialist operating throughout East Anglia and the Southeast of England, is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering projects in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Responsibilities:

Managing costs for civils and groundworks projects
Preparing estimates and budgets
Conducting cost analysis and value engineering
Managing subcontractor agreements and payments
Measuring and valuing work done on-site
Ensuring accurate cost reporting and tracking
Handling variations and change orders effectively
Maintaining compliance with contractual terms

Desirable Experience

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civils/groundworks
Degree qualified
Strong understanding of civil engineering projects
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Effective communication and negotiation abilities
Proficiency in industry-standard surveying software
Ability to work well in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
