Our client, a prominent civil engineering, groundworks, and infrastructure specialist operating throughout East Anglia and the Southeast of England, is seeking a dedicated Civils Contracts Manager to join their team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to lead and manage a variety of civil engineering projects in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple civil engineering contracts from inception to completion
  • Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
  • Monitor project progress and quality standards
  • Handle contract negotiations and variations
  • Implement health and safety policies and procedures on-site

Desirable Experience

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the civil engineering sector
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering processes and practices
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry
  • SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS
