Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Red Lodge, IP28 8TD (located between Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge)
Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 per annum, DOE
Contract: Full-time position
Benefits: 28 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day every 2 years up to a maximum of 33 days after 10 years' service. Pension scheme. All company clothing and PPE provided. Overtime paid at 1.5 times the agreed hourly for any hours over 45 per week. Double time and attendance fee for call outs.

We work for a number of County, District and Parish Councils, offering all aspects of grounds maintenance services. We heavily invest in equipment, ensuring that we have the right machinery for the job, and training, ensuring that our grounds maintenance operatives have a full and diverse set of qualification, so that we can complete any task.
The Role
S.P. Landscapes & Tree Contractors is looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to carry out an array of tasks including grass cutting, hedge cutting, shrub maintenance and weed control for a number of County, District and Parish Councils, as well as other large commercial organizations.
The successful candidate must be motivated, hardworking and have a basic knowledge of horticulture. We are looking for an individual can work well within a team and be proactive in maintaining and improving the landscape within the sites that we maintain.
As a minimum, any applicants must hold a full driving license. Whilst not essential, desirable qualifications include safe use of a ride-on mower and pesticides using a knapsack sprayer.
All Personal Protective Equipment and Health & Safety training to be provided by the company.
