Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Pump & Treatment Installation Engineer to join their team in Bury St Edmunds. This permanent role involves installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting pump and water treatment temporary installations to a high standard across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and handover pump & temporary water treatment setups for major construction & utilities projects.
- Provide customer training and remote/on-site support, including troubleshooting and writing reports on equipment status.
- Support the sales team to win both short-term and long-term projects.
- Provide handovers to the regional depot on specific projects.
- Create job-specific work instructions, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
- Conduct routine maintenance and major upgrades/refurbishment of water treatment equipment on-site and in the depot.
- Travel and overnight stays will be required, with paid travel time excluding the first and last 30 minutes (total 1 hour) of each day.
Other Responsibilities:
- Tag and check all equipment and update service records.
- Maintain knowledge of products and their accessories.
- Ensure equipment availability.
- Complete all test certificates and associated paperwork.
- Adhere to best safe working practices and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report all incidents/accidents.
- Follow customer Health & Safety rules on-site.
- Perform other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the Regional Operations Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the installation of pumps and/or water treatment systems.
- CITB/NVQ qualification is preferable.
- A valid driving licence.
- Flexible attitude to adapt to changing regional needs.
- Above-average fitting abilities and problem-solving skills.

- Clean, safe, and well-presented vehicle and workspace.
- Accurate recording of work conducted, parts used, and stock control.
- Quality and quantity of equipment serviced and repaired.
- Success of installations.
