Looking for a Safety, Health, and Environment Manager role?

Our client a large water utility company are looking to recruit a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager to work on their Anglian Water contract.

Rate: Up to £400 per day via Umbrella

Working 45 hours a week.
Initial 6 month contract.

As a SHEQ Manager  you will be required to work collaboratively with the client and have extensive MEICA experience.

This is to safely deliver a range of Programmes from high volume low value to complex engineering projects. This will cover several different workstreams and multiple locations.

You will provide training and advice, encouraging the reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with Operatives and Supervisors. You will also review risk assessments and method statements, verifying temporary works are implemented safely.

Conduct investigations of incidents and accidents, identifying root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence. Reporting incidents in line with Client requirements and submit reports within agreed timescales. You'll also ensure actions from investigations are acted upon and close-out the report in a timely manner.

Assisting in the identification of safety training needs for site based personnel and bring these to the attention of the Regional Health and Safety Manager. Cooperating with the Health and Safety Executive in connection with their site visits.

Skills and Experience

  • NEBOSH National Diploma or Safety related degree
  • MEICA experience
  • Have experience of delivering continuous improvement in health & safety performance
