RG Consultancy is thrilled to partner with a rapidly expanding construction business in Bury. Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to lead all aspects of the finance function and report directly to the Managing Director. This pivotal role involves managing a small finance team, consisting of two direct reports, and playing a key role in supporting the company's financial strategy and growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organisation's goals and drive sustainable growth.
  • Oversee comprehensive financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ensuring financial stability and performance.
  • Supervise the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses, providing clear insights to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, maintaining the organisation's financial integrity.
  • Monitor financial performance regularly, identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, offering actionable insights and recommendations to support business expansion and profitability.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure financial best practices are embedded throughout the organisation, driving effective decision-making and accountability.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
