Astute's Nuclear team are partnering with a world leader in the field of cable and pipe seals and are looking to recruit an Internal Technical Sales Representative to join their growing business.
The Internal Sales professional is key to developing both new and existing clients across the customer base in Ireland. This is a phone based, hybrid position, with the opportunity to progress into an external sales position within two years. This position comes with a salary of up to 38,000, and a bonus scheme of 20%-40% based on personal and company performance.

Responsibilities and duties

The Internal Technical Sales Representative will:
  • Drive new business development by generating project specifications, researching potential clients, and building relationships with owners, operators, and engineers.
  • Support sales activities, including exhibitions, conferences, and providing pre-sales technical advice, design input, and installation training to ensure quality.
  • Promote the core values and deliver world-class support throughout the project lifecycle to achieve sustainable sales growth.
  • Plan and manage customer interactions using the CRM system, while providing accurate market intelligence, forecasting, and product planning insights.
  • Develop client relationships through educational initiatives like lunch & learn sessions and CPD programs with design engineering teams.



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
  • University degree or equivalent preferred; industry-specific experience in a similar role considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Proven professional sales experience, ideally with success in an internal sales environment and managing long-term, complex projects.
  • Ideally have knowledge and experience in sectors such as process engineering, power networks, renewables, nuclear, marine, rail, or building infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with civil construction, electrical, controls, automation, and/or mechanical systems within target markets.
  • Skilled in leveraging industry news, project databases, and relationships to develop technical sales opportunities; experienced in supporting external sales teams and working remotely.



Personal skills

The Internal Sales role would suit someone who has:
  • Experience of providing technical support both internally and externally
  • Successful track record of working with premium solutions against low-cost competitors
  • Ability or desire to pursue a technical sales role in the future
  • Full UK driving license
