Job Title: Tendering Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Bury, Manchester
Hours: 42.5 hours per week 8:00am 5:00pm
Basic Job Description
- Your day will be spent as part of an estimating / project Engineering team, liaising with the shop floor and customer.
- You will be required to interpret line diagrams and written specifications & convert them into a quotation offer to send to our customers.
- Prepare detailed electrical schematics for switchgear (metering, changeover control schemes, REF & Intertripping etc) when required, as well as general arrangement layout drawings.
- Prepare bills of materials & input onto the companys internal ERP system.
- Interact with customers/consultants, and internal staff to resolve identified issues.
Requirements
- A minimum of a HND in Electrical Engineering, or time served in Panel Building/Electrical Apprenticeship with relevant design experience.
- Knowledge of Modular Steel Work Systems such as Cubic, Elsteel, Dorman Smith etc.
- Knowledge of Schneider, Terasaki & Dorman Smith range of LV products.
- Confident with LV design and manufacture of Switchgear up to 6300 Amps.
- Professional approach to work, with an eye for detail.
- Good team player.
- Be a self-starter and capable of working with minimum guidance.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office package inc. Outlook/Excel.
- Good customer interaction.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Wages negotiable dependant on experience.
