We are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our client's dynamic team. You will be responsible for pricing work and projects across various sectors including commercial, industrial, domestic, residential, and health schemes, with project values up to £5 million. This position requires a dedicated individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analysing plans and specifications and identifying key variables for cost.
- Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
- Maintain a comprehensive database to ensure bids and documentation are up to date and easily accessible.
- Visit sites as required to gather key project information.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on estimates.
- Review and assess cost estimates.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator.
- Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, domestic, residential, and health scheme projects.
- Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, Estimating Software).
