Chroma Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading company in the pharmaceutical sector looking to add an EC&I Engineer to the team.This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to life-saving innovations, including equipment used in chemotherapy preparation and advanced medical research.


Position Overview

As an EC&I Engineer, you will take the lead in the electrical design and delivery of both standard and bespoke machinery. This is a pivotal role, working across the full lifecycle of projectsfrom concept through to deliveryfocusing on containment and clean air solutions for highly regulated environments. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing & Engineering, youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value capital projects for global clients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed electrical design schematics for bespoke and standard systems.
  • Own the electrical and software design requirements from concept to delivery.
  • Create wiring schematics, functional design specifications, and instrument schedules.
  • Design and develop HMI and PLC software for advanced engineering systems.
  • Support pre-FAT and FAT activities, and assist with onsite engineering (UK and abroad).
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to develop innovative new products.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years as an EC&I Engineer in a regulated industry.
  • Education: HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (or proven experience).
  • Software Skills: Experience with Siemens TIA Portal; PC Schematic is desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in electrical design schematics, control philosophies, and project lifecycle management.
