The role is with a rapidly expanding SME group aiming to double or triple its turnover in the next 2-3 years through acquisitions and organic growth.
Candidates are required to have CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualifications and must possess experience in a stock-based business, with M&A experience being highly desirable.
The successful candidate will oversee a finance team, report directly to the CEO, and manage all external relationships, as well as financial processes and audits.

Based: Ramsbottom area

Salary: highly dependent on experience + bonus + benefits

I am exclusively working with a rapidly expanding SME group looking to double/triple turnover in the next 2-3 years through acquisitions and organic growth. With 2 acquisitions made in the last 2 years, they have a strong M&A strategy to achieve their forecasted goals with this role sitting as number 1 in finance reporting directly to the CEO

This is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced number 1 OR someone looking to step up into that role for their own career progression sitting on the SLT

Role:

Overseeing finance team of 4 and recruitment for future roles
Working closely with the CEO on acquisitions and integrating them into the group structure
Presenting monthly and quarterly board packs/management accounts to the board
Responsible for all external relationships - banks, insurers, legal
Overseeing all accounting processes & financial ledgers for group companies
Financial modelling on current and future plans with forecasts & budgets, updating pricing & costing models
Cash management, treasury & hedging across multiple currencies
Business partnering with key stakeholders challenging on costs, budgets and business impact
Identifying operational improvements through finance and wider business
Overseeing annual audit, reviewing group statutory accounts & tax return
Evaluating capital expenditure, reviewing supplier contracts
Project work alongside the CEO including due diligence on acquisitions

Experience:

CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified essential
Experience in a stock based business essential (retail / manufacturing / wholesale)
M&A experience (sell or buy) highly desirable
Experience as number 1 or number 2 in SME with the ability to present to the board essential
Team management & leadership skills essential
