Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role involves a variety of tasks including cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring that all areas are well-organised. A background in commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Ensure that all communal areas are kept tidy and presentable at all times.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks as required to ensure the facility remains in good condition.
- Monitor supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events or activities as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
- Foster a positive environment by interacting courteously with residents and visitors.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS is essential
- Previous experience in a caretaker or cleaning role is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintenance issues.
