We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled M&E Maintenance Shift Leader to join our team. If you are passionate about ensuring the optimal functioning of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems within a datacenter environment and leading a team to success, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and supervise a team of M&E maintenance technicians during assigned shifts.
    • Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to team members to ensure adherence to maintenance schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  2. Maintenance Coordination:

    • Plan and coordinate M&E maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, to ensure the reliable operation of critical infrastructure within the datacenter.
    • Assign tasks, prioritize work orders, and allocate resources effectively to meet maintenance objectives and minimize downtime.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of M&E systems to identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.
  3. Technical Support:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and escalations related to M&E systems during assigned shifts.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including those related to electrical distribution, HVAC systems, cooling equipment, and backup power systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities engineers and operations staff, to address and resolve technical challenges effectively.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, equipment inspections, and spare parts inventory.
    • Generate shift reports detailing maintenance tasks completed, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
    • Provide regular updates to management on the status of M&E systems, maintenance activities, and any emerging issues.
  5. Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies during all maintenance activities.
    • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for team members to promote a safe working environment and mitigate risks.
    • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations as needed to identify and address potential hazards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within M&E maintenance, preferably in a datacenter or similar critical infrastructure environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, and cooling equipment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing system reliability.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical Engineering) are a plus.

Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
