Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues
  • Manage and resolve employee relations cases such as disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and allegations
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures relating to employee relations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a positive employee relations environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD) is desirable

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an employee relations role
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations cases

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of UK employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Previous experience working in a unionised environment

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role during probation
