Protocol are partnering with a Further Education College in Bury to recruit a skilled Computing Lecturer to deliver engaging and high-quality Computing and IT programs across multiple levels. This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational development of students, helping them achieve their potential and progress to higher education or employment.
Job Type: TemporarySalary: £27 per hour + 12.5% statutory holiday pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the pre-entry and initial assessment process, ensuring the diverse needs of learners are met effectively.
- Provide exceptional pastoral care and guidance to students, supporting their educational journey and progression towards positive destinations such as higher learning or employment.
- Oversee the progress of students with EHCP or ALS needs, ensuring they are fully supported throughout their course.
- Collaborate within teams to devise, review, and maintain effective study programmes, promoting best practices and sharing knowledge.
- Manage and maintain course/programme information on platforms like SharePoint, helping to reduce workload and foster effective team collaboration.
- Ensure all schemes of learning and lesson plans are aligned with college policies and expected teaching standards.
- Celebrate staff and student achievements, promoting a culture of excellence and recognition within the college.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 5 qualification in a Computing or related field
- A recognised Teaching Qualification
- Proven experience lecturing at Further Education level
- DBS on the Update Service
