We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Design & Technology Teacher with a strong focus on Textiles to join this school for a 12-month maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will primarily teach Textiles to students across all age ranges, while providing general DT instruction to Key Stage 3 (KS3) students. This role is ideal for a teacher who can inspire creativity in students and has a strong foundation in both Textiles and broader DT disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Textiles across all age ranges and provide general DT lessons to lower school (KS3) students.
  • Prepare engaging lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners and encourage skill development in DT.
  • Support the school in maintaining high standards in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the school's mission of fostering a nurturing and ambitious educational experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school setting.
