The Role

As Senior Property Regeneration Lawyer, you’ll take on a diverse caseload of complex property transactions, development agreements, and complex regeneration schemes. From advising on land acquisitions and disposal to navigating the intricacies of commercial leases, your role will cover all legal aspects of property matters in regeneration schemes. This is a unique opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future landscape of Bury, working on projects that will leave a lasting legacy for the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on large-scale regeneration projects, including land acquisitions and disposals, development agreements, and property transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate complex contracts and agreements related to property matters in regeneration schemes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and external legal advisors, to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Assist in the legal aspects of planning and compulsory purchase orders (CPOs) as required.

About You

This is a role for a proactive, ambitious legal professional ready to take on challenging and rewarding work. To succeed, you will:

  • Be a qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with experience in property law
  • Have a strong understanding of property transactions, including commercial Landlord and Tenant, development agreements, disposals and land acquisition.
  • Possess excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Be confident in managing a varied workload and working on high-profile projects.
