This role is based at the Bury office of a well-established and multi-disciplinary law firm within the Northwest. The Commercial Property team is looking for a Paralegal to assist its fee earners in the running of transactions and to conduct matters under the solicitor's supervision.

You will have at least 1 year's experience in Property. You will have knowledge of the procedures, terminology and documentation, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting legal research and gathering information relevant to matters
  • Assisting with the drafting and preparation of legal documents, contracts and correspondence
  • Maintaining and organising case files, documents and records
  • Liaising with clients and third parties as directed by the fee earner
  • Assisting in preparation for meetings
  • Assisting with document management and electronic filing systems
  • Overseeing administrative tasks, including scheduling, billing and document retrieval
  • Providing general support to fee earners within your department
  • Staying updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the firm's practice areas
  • When, or if, suitably experienced, managing a small caseload of appropriate files

Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree or equivalent level qualification with a minimum of 1 year's experience in a law firm
  • Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology and documentation
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanour, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
