We currently have a requirement for a mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer to join on of the leading, largest, private Engineering organisations within the Lancashire. This is an opportunity to join an established organisation who have sites throughout the UK, a company who continue to make major investments and drive training and progression on site. This is an opportunity to join an already established maintenance team and an organisation who hold 50+ years within the industry


The maintenance engineers position is commutable from the following:: Bolton / Heywood / Rochdale / Radcliffe / Bury

Benefits the Maintenance Engineer will receive

  • Position: Maintenance Engineer
  • Shift: Days Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm 1hour Lunch.
  • Salary: £30,000 - £33,000
  • Benefits: 8% Pension, Profit related pay scheme, Company health care, 24+8days holiday
  • Location: Bury, Lancashire

Experience with Maintenance Engineer will hold:

  • Ideally the maintenance engineer will hold previous experience within a heavy engineering Plant.
  • Mechanically biased with a slight electrical ability would be at an advantage roughly 80/20 Split
  • Experience with: Furnaces, Bearings, Transmission systems, Pulleys, Pipe Fitting, Welding Fabrications STICK welding. Some Installation work.
  • Must be Apprentice trained holding a NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds Level 3 in mechanical engineering.

Duties the Maintenance engineer will undertake:

  • Carry out Servicing and maintenance requirements throughout the plant.
  • Respond to all breakdowns within the Plant
  • Complete required Documentation for the engineering systems
  • Monitor Stock levels on site re-order as and when required
  • Assist with Projects Installation and commissioning on Plant.
  • Carry out all required training on site.
