Manufacturing Manager: Our client, a long established manufacturer, is looking to appoint a Manufacturing Manager for their fast paced volume production site. Managing between 20 and 40 people on shift at any one time the successful Manufacturing Manager will retain close ties with the shop floor, leading a team to meet daily KPI's, and have experience of a time sensitive, lean focused, volume manufacturing environment (food, plastic, glass, electronics etc)Although the majority of staff are permanent at peak times your team may be strengthened with the addition of contract / agency staff. It would be beneficial for the Manufacturing Manager to have had had previous experience of managing temporary staff with the issues this can bring up.Previous work experience in a lean manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Manager ultimately chosen for this role can come from a wide range of backgrounds.
