Milk Education are recruiting for proactive and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our Secondary Schools in Bury to work on a long-term or short-term basis. The role is to start ASAP.

Cover supervisor Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absence, following pre-set lesson plans or providing appropriate activities
  • Provide assistance with student learning when appropriate, helping them with tasks and ensuring they understand instructions
  • Ensure students are on task and engaged with the work set.
  • Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to ensure continuity of support for students

Cover supervisor Non-negotiables:

  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children or young adults, ideally in a school setting (though not essential)
  • Must have enhanced DBS or willing to purchase one
  • A good understanding of classroom behaviour management strategies
