Bury Council are seeking a proactive HR Assistant to join our fast-paced team during a period of increased workload and staff restructures. This role requires someone who can efficiently follow established processes, use initiative to manage their workload, and adapt quickly to changes.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Process HR & Payroll transactions, from creating positions to completing transfers and producing variation to contract documents.
  • Handle pending restructures and staff transfers under TUPE regulations.
  • Undertake additional processing work and mini-projects during intervals between restructures.
  • Follow established processes while using initiative to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Remain flexible and adapt to changes within the HR environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar HR environment is essential.
  • Ability to follow processes and use initiative to manage workload.
  • Flexibility and quick adaptability to change.
  • Competence in using HR systems and ensuring data accuracy.
