Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a HR and Payroll Assistant to join Bury Council on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The Role:
This position is to join a fast paced HR/Payroll team to support with a peak in workload and also staff absence. The team have a number of restructures pending and staff transferring out under TUPE. The work will involve processing transactions across HR & Payroll, from creating a position on our HR/Payroll system, to completing a transfer, producing a variation to contract document and checking their pay is correct. In between restructures, there will be some other processing work/mini projectsthat can be done.
We need someone who can follow processes in place and use their own initiative to manage their workload. You will also need to be flexible to change and be able to adapt quickly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a fast paced HR/Payroll Team, ideally within a Local Authority
- Experience of dealing with payroll queries
- TUPE knowledge (ideal)
