Tradewind are seeking to appoint an exceptional Reception Teacher for an attractive opportunity at a reputable primary school based in Prestwich.Where: Prestwich

When: January 2025

Pay: £163 - £232 per day, dependant on experience

A recent Ofsted inspection highlighted that "children in the early years, know that they should pay attention and focus on their learning. This is evident in the Reception classes, for example, where children are attentive during phonics lessons and story time".

Reception TeacherThe successful teacher will be responsible for the progress and attainment of a high achieving Reception class.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Create engaging lessons that align with the EYFS National Curriculum standards and support the creative curriculum delivered by the school
  • Understand age-related expectations for children within EYFS and scaffold and stretch accordingly to maximise educational outcomes for pupils as individuals
  • Keep up-to-date records of data and analyse where and what to reteach to bridge gaps in learning and maintain high levels of attainment
  • Build a positive rapport with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect
  • Work effectively as a team player with the TA, key stage and wider staff to share advice, resources and best practice
