Locum Occupational Therapist (2 Full-Time Roles) - Disability Services Team

Location: Bury (Hybrid Role)

Contract: Full-Time, Minimum 3 Months

Aim: 10 cases per week

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 full-time Locum Occupational Therapists to join our Disability Services Team in Bury. We are a small and friendly team of Occupational Therapists, dedicated to providing holistic assessments that enhance independence and quality of life for our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hybrid Role: Enjoy a blended working environment with time split between the office and home.
  • Caseload: Manage a target of 10 cases per week, focusing on reducing risks for people with disabilities living in the community.
  • Person-Centered Assessments: Use evidence-based practice and the social model of disability to assess the needs of service users and their carers.
  • Equipment & Adaptations: Recommend and arrange for activities of daily living equipment, as well as minor and major adaptations.
  • Moving & Handling: Apply your expertise in moving and handling using the latest equipment and techniques.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with partners in health and housing, liaising with various professionals to deliver the best outcomes.

Candidate Profile:
  • Qualifications: Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC).

  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and decision-making and organizational capabilities.
  • Communication: Capable of explaining concepts clearly, building confidence, and establishing rapport with people with disabilities.
  • Essential: Must be a car driver and aware of health & safety issues.
