About Us

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school located in the heart of Whitefield, Bury. You will be joining a proud and inclusive community, dedicated to providing an outstanding education for all students. The position is expected to run until the Easter half term with the possibility of extension based on performance and school needs.

As a Maths Teacher at this School, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Use a range of teaching techniques and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and senior leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths department to develop and implement schemes of work and share best practices.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE in Secondary Education. Must specialise in Maths.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or a willingness to obtain one before starting.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to achieving the highest standards in education.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver lessons effectively.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
