Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist SEND Secondary school in the Bury and is seeking a Science teacher to join their thriving school ASAP on a full time basis. You will be joining the supportive Science department, covering all 3 sciences to KS3 and KS4.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND Science TEACHER CONTRACT:

  • A specialist SEND secondary school in Bury
  • Supports those with autism and SEMH
  • Supportive team and a strong leader
  • Science is taught up to GCSE
  • Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery and assessment
  • This is a full-time position including liaising with the Head of Science

THE RIGHT SCIENCE TEACHER WILL BE:

  • Hold a degree and PGCE
  • Confident with teaching GCSE
  • Proven ability to raise attainment
  • Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box

THE SUCCESSFUL science TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Experience teaching science GCSE
  • Experience of teaching pupils with a wide range of SEND
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
  • A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service

THE RIGHT science teacher WILL BE:
Hold a degree and PGCE in science
Passionate about sharing your knowledge of science
Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
