Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are working with a fantastic 'Good' Ofsted rated Secondary SEMH School located near Bury currently seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a Sport/Physical Education background to support learners with Social, Emotional & Mental-Health needs. Responsibilities will include classroom, academic and pastoral support. Additional responsibilities will include to support within PE & Sport.

The position would suit candidates who seek a career in PE Teaching & want to further their experiences before going into educational-training.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Drive and determination for pupil development while maintaining high expectations of achievement.
  • Empathy and caring nature while dealing with sensitive scenarios.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents.
  • Show adaptability and pro-activeness while under pressure.
  • Sports Coaching Experience / Level 2 Coaching Badges
  • Experienced planning and delivery of curriculum PE

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
