Hays Healthcare are actively recruiting Band 6 Mental Health Practitioners (RMN) in Bury.

Your new role and responsibilities

The Mental Health Practitioner service offers a comprehensive range of mental health specialities within one multidisciplinary team so that all patients with a suspected or actual mental health problem can be assessed, treated, signposted, or referred appropriately regardless of age, presenting complaint, time of presentation or severity.

  • You will undertake telephone triages, urgent and routine face-to-face assessments and onward referral to the most appropriate service, getting people the right care, at the right time and by the right service.
  • You will undertake comprehensive assessments of the health and social care needs of individuals who are referred to the service, in addition to comprehensive risk assessments.
  • To participate in the duty worker rotation
  • To participate in the triage process of new referrals to the service.
  • To develop individualised packages of care for service users with mental health problems, including signposting where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant professional qualifications, e.g. nursing, psychologist, psychotherapist, family therapist, or relevant mental health profession.
  • CAHMS experience preferred
  • NMC Pin
  • Right to Work in UK (No Sponsorship)
  • Any applications missing the above will be rejected
