Position: Senior Residential Support Worker
Hours: 160 hours/month (including weekends)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our care team. In this role, you will take a lead in ensuring the safety, welfare, and development of children in our care home, particularly those with challenging needs. You will provide guidance to the Residential Support Workers and collaborate closely with the management team to maintain high standards of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring the well-being and engagement of children.
- Update and review Care Plans, Behavior Management Plans, and Risk Assessments each month.
- Supervise designated staff, providing support and guidance to uphold best practices in care.
- Address any concerns directly with the Registered Manager.
Key Tasks:
- Oversee and coordinate daily routines, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and supported.
- Support staff in adhering to policies, procedures, and duty rotas.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation for all staff activities and incidents.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and training.
Requirements:
- Significant experience working with children, especially in a challenging environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of child protection procedures and the ability to follow safeguarding policies.
- Ability to work weekends and handle a dynamic, fast-paced care environment.
