Our Client, Bury Council, is seeking a Team Manager to join their Children's Leaving Care Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Overseeing a team of Personal Advisors and the development of individualised pathway plans for young people transitioning out of care.
  • Providing guidance and support to social workers and other team members. Ensuring that they adhere to policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Advocating for the rights and well-being of young people in or leaving care. This includes liaising with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers.
  • Identifying and managing risks related to young people’s safety, mental health, education, and housing.
  • Working closely with other professionals, such as psychologists, educators, and housing officers, to ensure holistic support.
  • Monitoring the quality of services provided by the team and implementing improvements as needed.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 2 years experience working as a Qualified social worker in a similar team
