SEN TA - Bury (BL9)

Monarch Education are working in association with a local primary school in the Bury area. The school are looking to hire a Teaching Assistant to work full time with an autistic (ASC) pupil in Year 3 (LKS2). This role will be commencing in April and will be working with the pupil on a 1:1 basis, as well as providing general classroom assistance when needed until the end of the academic year 2025.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience with Autism - either professionally or personally e.g. a family member
  • Be resilient and confident with challenging behaviour
  • Have a nurturing personality and be non-judgemental
  • Be able to follow instructions and be pro-active
  • Adhere to the school safeguarding policies
  • Have a passion to work with children
  • Previous experience working in a Primary School is desired but not essential

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Have previous experience of working with special educational needs or in care
  • Able to travel daily to Bury (BL9) area
  • Have a child DBS registered to the update service or be willing to complete one
