SEN English Teacher

Hays Education is working with a small alternative provision in Bury, to find an English Teacher to work on a long-term, temporary basis. The ideal candidate has experience working with vulnerable and disengaged SEND learners and has a genuine passion for teaching in a creative, holistic manner. If this sounds like you, please don't hesitate to reach out or apply through our portal!Your new roleIn your new job as an English Teacher with Hays, you will teach GCSE English and Functional Skills in a flexible, trauma-informed way to a small group of learners in Key Stage 3 and 4. You'll work closely with Teaching Assistants and other staff members to deliver the best education for these pupils. Hays Teachers make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities which make every day different! You'll benefit from ongoing support from your Hays consultant, Amy, who will be on-hand throughout this assignment and beyond.What you need to succeedTo succeed in your new job, you'll hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and feel confident teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills in an alternative setting. You will have a minimum of 1 year's experience teaching in a SEND environment with disengaged and at-risk learners. You're someone who loves taking on a challenge, and you enjoy adapting to new situations.
