SEN English Teacher

Prospero Teaching are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic English Teacher to join the teaching team at a SEN High school in Bury. The school is for children aged 11-16 with moderate and complex learning difficulties and autism.

This role is a full time position and is open to ECTs as well as more experienced teachers of English.

The successful candidate will need to fully immerse themselves in the school and department and assist in planning and preparing lessons, attend departmental meetings & parents evenings when necessary. You will also need to be able to provide exceptional support to students, demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistance/management.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Bury
  • Position - English Teacher
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Temporary - Permanent contract
  • Minimum rate of pay - £160 per day
  • Hours - 8:30 AM - 4:00PM

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience working in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential) English Teaching experience desired
  • TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one
  • Provide two professional references
