Tig Welder

SMarter Recruitment Services are currently looking to assist our client in the Stone area in recruiting qualified TIG Welder's for a full time and permanent position. The role is offering an immediate start with the company who are continuously expanding their team in line with company growth.

Our client are a leading manufacturer and distributor of steel corrugated hoses, bellow and piping, and due to manufacturing requirements, TIG Welders are newly required. You will have the opportunity to play an integral role within the manufacturing processes, using your experience to deliver high quality fillet and butt welds ranging between 0.2mm and 3mm in thickness. Sometimes thickness can range between 5.5mm - 11mm on occasions.

You will be required to work between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm, Monday through to Friday, with a slightly earlier finish on Fridays. The salary will be based on experience with potential increases in place when performance levels are shown.  salary DOE

Roles and responsibilities will include...

- Producing high quality welds (fillet and butt welds predominantly)

- Working with a focus on time constraints and deadlines

- Producing welds ranging between 0.2mm - 3mm with occasional welds ranging between 5.5mm and 11mm in thickness

- Work independently and proactively

- Reporting to managerial or supervisory contact

- Work with precision and awareness

- Manual handling of goods

- Assisting colleagues in areas when required

- Sometimes working from technical drawings to produce welds

Qualifications will need to be collected and seen before proceeding towards an interview. A weld test will be included within the interview and induction process.
