Role Overview:

Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Bushey, Hertfordshire

Start Date: Immediate

Hours: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide support to students with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs, both in the classroom and one-on-one.
  • Help implement strategies that foster academic, emotional, and social development.
  • Assist teachers in planning activities that cater to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with staff to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally working with SEMH students.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with students and staff.
  • Resilient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
