You will be working within a small team, involved in the research & development, design and production of current and future products and system solutions applicable to SteelRocks core business offerings. This is newly created position with responsibilities split between research and development and production, depending on priorities and workload demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Chief Technical Officer and Production Manager to realise new concept developments.
- Breadboard and manufacture of working prototypes.
- Research developing technologies relevant to our product offerings.
- Assist in optimising ‘Design for Manufacture’ as new developments mature.
- Identify key technology gaps and evaluate prospective solutions.
- Assist in the external test and validation of new products via test house organisations.
- Assist in the development of fault investigation protocols and reliability testing solutions to refine production efficiency.
- Assembly and Test of current production products.
- Support fielded equipment upgrades and repairs, which may include foreign travel.

Experience required:
5+ years of hands experience assembling, testing and repairing electronic prototypes to component level. This will include reading complex electronic schematics, soldering down to component level and crimping of harness assemblies.
Experience with RF (Radio frequency) would be advantageous
