Summary of Project

This project involves the maintenance and management of specialised turbine installation tools and Parts. As the Tools and Part Co-ordinator, you will ensure that all tools and equipment meet quality standards and perform regular maintenance checks. Your role is crucial in keeping tools available and compliant with safety standards, contributing to the efficiency of the project.

Person Specification

As a Tools and Parts Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the supply, maintenance, and tracking of tools and equipment used across the sites. You will work closely with site managers and engineers to ensure that all necessary materials are available when needed, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency.

Job Duties

  • Conduct and monitor periodic tests for lifting and electrical tools, keeping records of inspections.
  • Track monthly and annual verification schedules for tools and equipment.
  • Manage tool room inventory, ensuring availability and compliance of all necessary equipment.
  • Utilise basic computer skills for storage and tool management, updating records and tracking usage.
  • Support site team by preparing equipment for daily use and ensuring calibration of measurement devices.
  • Coordinate the issue and return of tools and equipment, ensuring proper tracking and accountability.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment meet safety standards and are used in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Understanding of construction tools, equipment, and parts, including their use and maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, track inventory, and coordinate logistics efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills for storage and tool management.
  • Awareness of safety instructions and applicable health and safety measures.
  • Suitable health and safety training, e.g., CSCS or similar, is required for all staff.
  • Preferred: Completed NPORS or AITT training for Counterbalance Forklift Truck (B3, >15t).
  • Preferred: Category C1 (up to 7.5t) or C (>7.5t) driving license.
