About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our DS Smith Recycling team. In this role, you will provide financial support to senior management by analysing and modelling financial performance, preparing monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgets, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
Your primary responsibilities will include analysing and consolidating monthly accounts, performing variance analysis, preparing and reviewing monthly forecasts and annual budgets in collaboration with senior management, and attending business and planning meetings. Additionally, you will prepare and analyse the impact of business decisions and interface with the annual audit process.
We will also ask you to play a vital role in designing and supporting common working practices. This includes providing specialist advice and support on financial matters to a variety of areas around the business, and supporting performance improvement initiatives. You will fully understand business needs and support the implementation of organisation-wide finance strategies for new business, services, or products.
About you
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience in a similar role in a large organisation
- Experience in budget setting, variance analysis, and cost control monitoring
- Good commercial acumen
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to build relationships with different stakeholders around the business
- Advanced Excel skills
