Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Reporting: Prepare and manage comprehensive financial accounts, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.

  • Management Accounts: Oversee the preparation of detailed management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts, providing actionable insights to senior management.

  • Balance Sheet Management: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of balance sheet accounts, carrying out reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls.

  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Drive the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is reported on time and meets regulatory requirements.

  • VAT & Tax Compliance: Manage VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and assisting with other statutory filings.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, collaborating with key departments to align financial goals with business strategy.

  • Cost Management: Review and manage the cost of sales, inventory, and other manufacturing-related financial activities, identifying areas for cost optimisation.

  • Financial Analysis: Provide in-depth financial analysis to guide strategic business decisions, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.

  • Collaboration & Internal Controls: Work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuously improve internal controls and processes.

  • Systems & Process Development: Assist with the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes to drive efficiency and improve reporting accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within a manufacturing or production-based environment.
