As a Solar Electrician, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting residential solar PV systems, ensuring all work meets the highest standards and complies with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission solar PV systems to the highest standards, adhering to Safe Electric specifications.
  • Conduct electrical inspections and maintenance for solar systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues within solar systems.
  • Test and verify system performance using specialist equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining project work to homeowners and addressing any changes in scope.
  • Collaborate effectively with the lead installer, team members, and roofing teams to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit all necessary documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.

The Person

  • Fully qualified electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Ideally, you’ll hold qualifications like NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition certification, AM2, Testing & Inspecting (2391/2392/2394), and a CSCS Gold Card.
  • Experience in Give energy and Solax systems would be a benefit along with any solar qualifications. 
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites.
